It only takes 10 minutes

For disaster to happen. Griffin pushed the chair over to the counter, then got into the cupboards and there was fluffy white stuff everywhere. Maxton apparently rolled it in. I had to shampoo the carpet and the couch, everyone needed baths and because the clothes I bought at garage sales on Saturday morning were still on the couch, I also had two loads of laundry. All this in the ten minutes between David going to work and me getting out of bed.

Sigh, somehow Griffin has turned into Mr. Mischeif. I used to marvel at how good he was at staying out of stuff. Notice the use of "USED TO." In the past month, he has become a master at making messes and getting into stuff he shouldn't. He broke a dozen eggs the other day while my sister was here babysitting our kids.

Anyway, since Max was the messiest, here is a photo of him in the tub. See if you can guess what it was they got into.

I finally got one!

Aubrey's smile on camera that is! Her smile just lights up a room.

Update on the last few weeks

Wow, it's been a while since I updated my blog. I've been so busy this week doing scrapbook assignments and taking care of the children that things have just been crazy. David also had his wisdom teeth out two weeks ago and is just getting back to normal. I got sick that same week, but luckily, it turned out to be short lived. We also been without a car for nearly two weeks now. Our check engine light was on and they can't figure out what the heck is wrong with the dang car. Yeah, talk about annoying. We've been stuck at home mostly.

Aubriana is doing great. She's smiling quite often now (mostly at Daddy) and I was delighted to hear her laugh yesterday. Such an amazing sound! She's also growing out of her 0-3 month clothes, not around but long! All her pants look like capris but are just now fitting her around the waist. It's a good thing they make adjustable waist pants now, because we're going to need them. She is built like Griffin--when he started walking, his pants would just fall off because he was too skinny.

I also had the opportunity to go to a great workshop on communication. My mom has been trying to get me to go, but it just never worked out until now. She took the kids while David was gone on a business trip and she paid with some gift certificates she had. My brother Jake went too and it was a wonderful bonding experience. It also got me thinking of what I really want in my life. My family life is so blessed, but I feel unfilled in other ways. After a lot of thought, I think I want to write children's books, a dream I had when I was younger (around 6th grade). I feel so excited about this; I've got tons of ideas, even a rough draft started. To that end, this is my last month on the Paper Posies' design team, a gig I've had for over two years. It's really hard to say goodbye, but I really want to have time to pursue this. I've done a lot of telling stories to my children in my scrapbooks and I will always do that, but I'm not sure I want to spend so much time doing it professionally. I will miss everyone there. It is such a wonderful place to work for and their kits are out of this world.

And, to finish off, a few photos:Trying to eat her brother.

The closest I've gotten so far to capturing her smile.

Paper Posies

Here are a few layouts I've done recently featuring the newest little one. They are both done using Paper Posies' July kit, which is so bright and fun!

Happy Fourth (a day late)

We had such an enjoyable time over the Fourth. We went up camping in Blacksmith Fork Canyon and the boys had a blast! They were sooooo dirty the whole time. Anyway, here are a few photos from our adventure.

Grandma and Xander floating down the river in a tube. All the grandkids (except Aubriana of course) got a turn and they just loved it!

Griffin and Maddy in the pool. This is about what they did the whole time while in the pool. I don't think one kid sat down.

Daddy and Griffin. Griffin is sooooooo dirty.

Aubrey asleep on Aunt Melissa's bump. Aunt Melissa fell asleep too. Too cute! I just love this photo.

Maxton looking a bit like Bert from Sesame Street. He got dirt in his normally blonde eyebrows and it was pretty funny. They don't show up as well in the photo as they did in real life.

A photo of Aubriana on the changing table. She is just always in motion; it's hard to get good shots of her. Just before this, she smiled at me. Her thighs are positively chunky compared to a few weeks ago.

Looking a bit confused.

Awww, she's getting so big! It's going too fast.
