Cell Phone Photos

This is something I have been meaning to do for a while now. Not too long ago, I got a camera phone, my first time having a camera on my phone. Kind of cracks me up too, because it's just about the same quality of camera as my first digital camera that we bought when Xander was a baby. 1.3 megapixels. I've been having fun snapping photos on it. Here are a few:

Maxton at Winger's, waiting for my mom to join us.
Aubriana at the park:
She does this ALL the time, puts her foot up on her carseat. So funny.

BreeBree with the cup she now insists on:
Waiting in the front yard for me to get home so we can go grocery shopping:

Last week on our date, the mountains looked so beautiful. Sometimes I get so used to them, I forget to notice them. Look how stunning they are! I feel so lucky to living in such a beautiful place:
Last night, we went to our fave Mexican restuarante to celebrate Xander's first day of school and the fact that we didn't have to pay for the dental work Griffin had done yesterday. The kids love to walk around this low wall:

That was NOT how I was planning on doing it.

Xander started Kindergarten today. I've been planning all morning to have plenty of time for pictures and goodbyes and all that. Well, I look on the schedule about 45 minutes before school is to start to see when they are supposed to get out. Then I start freaking out, because Monday is early out day, so Kindergarten starts 30 minutes before the usual start time. It was a dang good thing I wasn't procrastinating and Xander was basically ready to go. I grabbed the camera, took a few shots, then hustled everyone into the car to take him. I was letting them out the side door and there was some pushing and Xander had his leg stuck in between the floor of the car and the sliding door, and my camera dropped off my shoulder. I didn't get a chance to see if it was damaged, as I was focused on getting him to class on time. I herd the kids towards the door, then manage to get Xander inside to his class, but without hardly any goodbye at all, because I'm still wrestling the other three. Then I turn around to leave and Griffin has disappeared. He went into class with Xander! So, I get them outside, then turn around and Griffin is refusing to leave. He wants to stay. So, I manage to get him going by bribery (at this point, perfect parenting is low on my list), and then I check on my camera. The filter is completely shattered and the lens won't work. I thought I would cry about him going to school, instead I feel like crying over my camera. It was my expensive lens and I'm hoping that it can be repaired.

And to top it all off, I forgot to get Xander anything to eat. Hopefully he can hang on until 1:15. This is so not the lesiurly, idealistic beginning I was envisioning.

Anyway, here are the shots of Xander from my beautiful and now broken camera.

Are all girls like this, or is mine especially vindictive?

I've never seen a baby hold a grudge like she can. Three or four months ago, I was coming down the stairs holding a potty for my Griffin, and Aubriana was up on the stair for the first time. I was hurrying to get her off so she wouldn't fall, and I slipped and fell down several stairs, hurting my hip badly, but luckily just knocking her arm. She wasn't very hurt, but you should have seen the look she gave me, along with her very loud protest at my cruel treatment of her. She was mad at me for 15 minutes. I find this hilarious, while also ominous. The same goes for anytime you may displease her.

Last night we went out to dinner and the kids got their own cups of water. So the waiter brings one for Dh and me, plus one for each of the boys and leaves to go talk to the next table over. Aubriana glares after him, clearly annoyed and wondering where her drink is. First of all, I can't believe she is keeping track of these sorts of things; secondly, our poor waiter. Luckily, I don't think he saw her give him the evil eye.

In case you don't believe me:And this is one of the milder ones. Lol!
