Xander is 6 today!

That's the cake that I spent all of yesterday making. I had a really stressful weekend, I have to say I am so glad it is over with! I think I cried twice over that cake--the fondant was giving me attitude. Also, the kids were sick this morning, we have a cacophony of coughing at our house right now. So fun. (I probably shouldn't be writing this right now, because I am grumpy).

Anyway, he had a pretty fun birthday and he's very excited to be six. He loved his cake, which was inspired by one I found on cakecentral.com. He got a box of cereal too, which was almost the only thing he asked for present wise. We usually by the bagged Malt-o-Meal cereal, so having his own box is going to be a real treat. Here he is with his favorite present:He also got a shirt, his first set of Legos, a pop-up punching Superman, a rocket from the Blairs, and a set of the Bob books, since he's out-grown his first reading book (he is on his way to reading everything in sight), and Othello, which is a board game. We are going to Chuck E. Cheese on Wednesday, so hopefully we will all be less sick, less stressed and more cheerful.

More American Crafts stuff

Ok, I had some more things air, so yay! I can post them on my blog. Clarice spotted one of my albums on QVC and wanted to see more of it, so this is for you girl! They are all 6x6" pages, which fit into those cute mini albums American Crafts makes. I decorated the cover of my ablum.

The inside pages:

These two were for a different kit. I adore and love these papers with an endless devotion:

New Cricut Cartridges

I can see I'm going to have a serious addition to these things. I had four before, then yesterday, I got four more in the mail from CreativExpress. Hurray! One thing I find horrible about them is the bulky and annoying to use packaging they come in. I was at a crop a few weeks ago and Michelle had this awesome idea! She put them in pencil cases with a clear pocket on the outside for the keypad. Sweet! So, I started at Staples, couldn't find what I was looking for. I tried the Dollar store on the off chance. Nope, nothing. Tried Walmart, still nada. I didn't think this would be a hard thing to find. I just wanted clear pencil cases. Then I scored at Office Max (which Maxton thought was hilarious, because it had his name in it). I found these clear ones for 40 cents a piece. Yep, 40 cents! They are the perfect size and clear on both sides, which is terrific. I put my booklets, the keypad and the cartridge in it and then stuck them on a binder ring. They are so portable now, and I actually replace the cartridges when I'm done with them. Props to Michelle for this great idea!On the ring--not too bad. I plan to group similar ones together on the same rings as my collection grows.

The front side, you can easily tell which cartridge it is.

The back side (or is it the front side, whichever). Again, easy to see what's in there.

Aubrey's Trademark Bracelets

Aubrey has one accessory she can't leave home without: her bracelets. She loves these and holds out her arm when I ask her to put one on. She calls them "pretty" and giggles when she gets a new one. She seriously loves them. I love making them for her too. As soon as she gets a new outfit, I'm making her a bracelet to go with it. They are such fun and quick projects, and totally adorable. She gets compliments on them all the time.

Here are a few:

If you regularly watch HSN. . .

(and I know you do), you might have seen my layouts and cards! I get such a thrill from it. Very cool to see your stuff on TV. Here's a closer look at some of the projects you might have spied in the journaling stickers and glitter markers segments.
