A whole bunch of cupcakes! If you haven't see me recently, this is why. I've been making 150 cupcakes and a cake for a surprise 50th birthday party for a neighbor. It was such an amazing party, at a resort up in Midway and the theme was hummingbirds. I did bright gumpaste flowers with cake shimmer on them for each cupcake and then put some on wires for the cake, which was a 6" round and about 10 inches high. I did lemon, strawberry and chocolate cake. They were delicious. I'm so glad I made my deadline and huge thanks to Melissa and Kathy Colton for helping me so much! Love you girls!

Xander lost his first tooth

After weeks of a loose bottom tooth, Xander's finally popped out today while he was watching Star Wars (we just barely let them watch the first one, A New Hope; I was worried they would be scared, but they love it). He just looked up at me and said calmly, "Mom, I lost my tooth." I was never that patient and loosing teeth was always traumatic, but he just let that thing slowly wiggle its way gone. He's been very excited to test his theory on the Tooth Fairy. He's said to Maxton several times, "I wonder if the Tooth Fairy is real. When I lose my tooth, I'm going to test it and figure it out." LOL. That has amused me for a long time. He's asked me if she is real, but I always turn it around and ask, "What do you think?"

What Does a Kitty Say?

I know I need to get pictures of my kids in their Halloween costumes. I got the flu on Halloween and ending up in bed the whole night. It's rumored that Melissa has pics of the kids, but I have yet to see any evidence (cough, cough, send me the pics, Mel!). Anyway, Aubriana was a kitty. Ever since, she has been meowing. It's super cute! She will also sometimes meow if you tell her that she is cute. LOL! Here's some video of her. She has such a personality; it cracks me up!


And just in case you doubted her musical talent, notice that although she doesn't say all the words, she does sing the tune. She also enjoys the ABC's and says quite a few of the letters.
